This month, I was lucky to get ~SilentSyncopation 's character for equinexchange.

First off, let me say, I had a blast drawing Static. I've decided it's such a challenge to draw characters that have non-horse colors on them and try to shade them. Second, wow, the wings... Whee!

How he was described by his creator:

"He doesn’t like sunlight or clear blue skies, so he will usually keep clouds in the sky above him at all times. When summoning the wrath of a storm, whether it’s a thunderstorm, tornado, or even a hurricane, his hooves will glow with static and small streaks of lightning will surround them and his wings will appear. This is his favorite part of creating a storm."

*laughs* We had an awesome storm come through the other night when I was starting to sketch this fellow out, which is rare here in Seattle, let me tell you. No rain, though, just lightning and booming, deep thunder right over the top of the house. The windows even shook, and the dogs barked. Really cool.

Thank goodness, though, that the storm-horse overhead decided not to bring a tornado.
